I love a simple, less-is-more, comfy dress for any occasion, but for Valentine's Day it also needs to be a little sexy. This outfit is for all my minimalist babes out there.
I chose a mauve/lavender-esque dress with spaghetti straps. I think that spaghetti straps are so classic and still very sexy yet practical (I mean you need to hold the dress up somehow!). Plus the colour goes with every skin tone.
I think the length of the dress would be considered conservative BUT less is more sometimes. The length of this dress hits right in the middle of the calf so it doesn't shorten or widen the legs. I am very short and I love mid-calf skirts and dresses for this reason. You don't need to show a lot of leg to impress your date, leave something to the imagination!
This dress is double lined and so soft and stretchy. The dress is also not incredibly tight so that it allows some room for eating (listen, we all gotta eat).
I like closed toed shoes because it is very cold out where I am and I don't want my toes to freeze and fall off, plus I didn't do my nails so...
Strappy and embellished shoes jazz up the outfit because the dress is very simple. I also added earrings to frame and bring attention to the face, because a necklace wold take away from the decollete area which is framed nicely by the spaghetti straps of the dress.
