Just wanted to squeeze in one LAST summer fashion post because...tigers. This dress is a light weight fabric with a tiger face print. Summer is going to be officially Fall in one day, here in Canada. So let me show you one last summer fave.
The effortless design is what I really adore about this dress. It just looks so easy and oh so comfy. The design is perfect for all body shapes because it cinches at the waist and just FLOWS. The dress kind of hints at the robe trend that slapped Spring 2016/Summer 2017 upside the head. The length is also very reasonable where it suits all ages and heights.
That Sleeve Tho...
I love a good kimono sleeve. The large sleeves really add a different dimension by adding even more flow and ease to the look of the dress. It was a design staple for many designers this Spring/Summer.
It's all in the Pattern, Baby
OMG--that tiger face pattern is EV-ER-Y-THING. Isn't though. I think that 2017 saw a surge of patterns. Patterns have always been around but I feel like more people are embracing larger patterns and really digging it. I know that florals are huge this Fall and Winter but I am not into florals but maybe if I found the right print I would be.
I am in love with this dress. I think that the design and print make it so unique. The length and sleeve will keep this particular dress wearable for many more years.

My perfect outfit is both comfortable, understated and stylish. This time around though it's going to focus on denim.
I live in Canada and so it's still a bit chilly here still in Spring, so I opted for a sweater. I chose a mint coloured fuzzy sweater, because it's close to Easter and pastels are always nice for Spring. I tucked in the sweater so that it made me look like I have longer legs.
Distressed denim is so popular right now and I say why not? Let's start wearing our distressed jeans a little earlier this year. These jeans have the distressed fraying on them but don't actually have holes in them.
I love clear shoes. I don't know why but I just do! I wore pastel blue fishnet leggings underneath my jeans to show thru my booties. I think that a clear boot or a light/neutral coloured boot keeps the outfit looking very light and perfect for spring.
I wore a black heart choker just to add an accessory and plus I am super crushing on this choker right now.
Weekends I think should be used to show off your wardrobe and your style. I think that a pair of jeans and a sweater is pretty standard but it's how you are wearing it and the details on the garments that add to your outfit. The clear booties and the fishnets are entirely something I am loving right now and if you have a trend or style that you love or wanna try out why not. Have fun and be inspired!
I've already done my ode of love to Camo but Imma do it again.
I did head to toe camo and I just love it. The leggings are comfy and are around the same shade as the bomber.
I chose a solid black top with sass. It has a open criss-cross design along the whole cheat and it's cropped! This outfit is not for the faint of heart, but wait, there's more...
BAM! Oh how I love my mesh neutral booties...just dying over these! I style my whole outfit around this bad boys. I rolled up my leggings to make room for these booties. I got these booties from Lulus.
Some people do head to toe feathers, denim, florals, stars or polka dots, but me I do head to toe camo and why not? You can even mix patterns! Experiment with your wardrobe and with patterns. You may surprise yourself with what you come up with.
My idea of "street" or "urban" style is looking and feeling like an all-time baddie. But let's be real, we don't all feel comfortable strutting around in a bra, fishnets and some heavily distressed jeans. Leave that stuff to Rihanna and the Hadid sisters. I want to make this Street styled look book wearable.
Look how I can bend my leg like that! The only reason I can even do those poses is also the NUMBER ONE reason I love the Street styled look: SWEATPANTS. Sweatpants are a staple in this style and OMFG--i have never been so comfy while looking so fly.
Fishnets are another staple of the Street style. Add in a distressed or band or graphic tee to finish it off. I tucked this @diss.dressed 'Lagerfeld' t-shirt upwards to make it look shorter and show off the fishnets.

The next few looks are all made up of the same formula: Sweater Tunic + Jacket + Boots = Baddie.
This is a distressed men's sweater from Forever 21 with a Led Zeppelin long line bomber jacket (also from Forever 21). I added a pair of lavender pointed booties for a 'Jenny from the Block' vibe. I I wore hooped earrings from Alexis Bittar's Miss Havisham Collection in gunmetal.
These boots give me LIFE! These lace-up OTK boots are from Forever 21 and they zip from the back and just make every. damn. outfit. AH-MAZING!
Satin bombers have been a HUGE trend in the last few years and I think with the right bomber you can wear it with anything. This Tiger bomber is also from Forever 21.
The distressed sweater dress (again), is a trend I wasn't too fond of, because I was like, "um...holes and in Canada equals, you are gonna freeze your lady balls off." BUT I actually really liked the look. There is something very urban, very sexy, very...Yeezy, (I dare say?) about the distressed look, that I am actually very attracted to. This distressed sweater is from Fashion Nova.
The criss-cross sweater is from Fashion Nova and so are the peep-toed OTK boots.
The bodysuit. I wear this thing going grocery shopping looking FLY as hell! I obviously skip the heels and opt for sneakers but heels add a je ne sais quoi to the look. The heels are the 'Cinderella' slipper from Fashion Nova. I would also suggest investing in a pair of transparent heels like this because they LITERALLY go with everything.
This camel coloured bodysuit is beyond comfortable and you can wear it off the shoulder too. I also prefer to wear a bra underneath this but I chose a bra that can be shown off. I chose a Canadian brand called, Untitled&Co that made this bra I am wearing underneath.
I think the Street and Urban looks have become so popular lately and I know why, because now that I've tried it, it's so intriguing. It's a mix of many different decades and styles mashed together. There is gunge, glitz and Kardashian all mixed into one style. It's comfortable, alluring and interesting with everything mixed onto one person. Get inspired and try out some of these looks--who knows, you might fall in love with them.
The Sophisticate is what it sounds--someone who likes clean lines and minimal clothing pieces. But Spring, for me at least, is about the potential of fun and the sight of bright flowers and things growing! I think the Sophisticate in Spring is a woman who works but has fun on the weekends too.
Blush tones are super fun for spring. And adding a neutral skirt or pant brings focus to the ruffles. I chose a top with ONE layer of ruffles because ruffles are the bees knees right now for spring and I don't want too much bulk if I were to go with more ruffle layers. Ruffles also add a fun texture to the outfit.
This cream, open cardigan is a dream! It goes with anything! I stayed with a neutral and light colour palette and no patterns or prints to keep the look streamline for work or lunch.
Flats would be wonderful with this look too. The skirt is a long semi-tight fitting skirt that falls well below the knee so that heels can be worn but still looks put together and streamline.
This look is quirkier and more fun than the previous.
The patterned trousers feature a straight leg cut to create clean lines and then texture comes from the crepe pastel blazer with the half vertical ruffle to break up the super straight lined look.
Adding a darker top with the racer front adds character to the look. Adding colour and patterns for spring freshness, but the darker top also reminds us that it isn't summer just yet.
This is my favourite look by far. I love the lace embroidered top that adds a feminine and fresh touch to the neutral palette, while adding texture.
I used the same skirt because this skirt is perfect for the chillier Canadian Spring. The lines are again clean and uncluttered without too much fabric or jewelry. This is a super minimal look but has some Spring fun to it with the lace top.
This is a weekend or casual Friday look. The jeans are tight and hug the curves and REALLY stream lines the body and adds a different dimension apart from the looser top.
The top has minimal pattern on it. They're actually LADYBUGS! The cardigan is long to promote a longer and leaner figure. The booties are very minimal with super sharp and straight edges to juxtapose the loose top.
The back of the top is my favourite! It has buttons and a tie at the back! You can leave the top either tucked in or not.
Spring to me is giving us a taste of the fun that is yet to come. The ruffles, patterns and brighter colours remind me that Spring is brighter and flirtier than Fall and Winter were. You can go out more and show more skin. The Sophisticate embodies a minimalist look but it doesn't always have to be so straight lined and modern. Throw in the colour, patterns and texture to remind you that Spring is here!
I am really digging this revamping of the retro/vintage t-shirt trend that's been vibing all over Instagram. T-shirts are so easy to wear and are essentially "classic" items that you can wear forever. Not to mention that wearing a tee-shirt is actually the most comfortable thing to wear.
The band tees and luxe logo tees are really popular right now and sometimes pulling an outfit together centred around your t-shirt can be a little bland and generic. So I have come up with a few tricks to perk up the t-shirt inspired outfits.
When I say oversized I mean that the t-shirt comes down to about your mid-thigh and covers your derrière. This tee can be worn like a dress. These types of tees are the easiest and funnest to style and wear.
You can wear them bare legged or with fishnets. Try not to wear anything that is too opaque like pants because it'll look like there's too much cfabric and coverage going on (show a little skin!). I mean you are wearing an OVERSIZED tee-shirt--that's already ALOT of fabric.
Throw on a bomber jacket and add a pair of thigh highs and voila, you have yourself a trendy and comfortable look.
The 'Average' Sized Tee
Now these are t-shirts that are too short to be worn like a dress and too long to be work with jeans, but are not slim fitting. These sized t-shirts are a little trickier to make look cute just because if you tuck or knot the tee it can look juvenile or awkward and messes with the graphic. BUT leaving it as is and then wearing full length pants can look frumpy (no one wants to look frumpy).
Solution: If you wanna tuck in the shirt make sure you can still see the logo on the tee so that nothing of the logo is cut off by the waist of the pants. Cutting off the logo can be distracting when people see you.
Tuck the shirt in and pull it out a little so all of the logo can be seen and left undistorted.
Solution: Leave the tee long and untouched but wear a mid thigh type short (the one above is from the Kylie Shop), and make sure that anything worn on the bottom half of the body is form fitting because having a loose tee and then loose pants can look like there is too much fabric.
Throw on a pair of sneakers/heels and a jacket and call it a day!
The Actual T-shirt Tee
The 'actual' t-shirt is a tee that fits the way most tops are supposed to. Length is to the waist, shoulder seams are where the shoulders should be and a slimmer fit.
These can worn with anything really, but are the MOST boring to wear. The tee has a bit of shape but not really (neither form fitting or boxy) and is too short to tuck into your pants/skirt so it just lifts up and out making the once comfortable tee into a nuisance. BORING and BOTHERSOME!
So if that is the case then the other garments you plan on wearing are the key to making this tee look less boring and more awesome.
Pair the tee with something that is opposite of it. Like a bedazzled skirt or something with texture. I chose a shiny powder blue skirt and a fringe jacket. Choose texture and wow-factor to liven up the t-shirt a little.
So what the heck do I take away from this lengthy ass post? Well, t-shirts can be awkward and tricky, just like your teenage years, but it doesn't have to be that way. Use the baggy and long length of t-shirts to add character to your outfit but also balance out the bagginess with form fitting pants or shoes/boots.
Or if the tee is too short to slap on a pair of killer thigh high boots then use texture to amp up the tee.
Hope this gave you some inspiration and check out my Instagram @meganbeaubb.

Watches have a rich history. The concept of watches has remained the same but with diminished purpose since cell phones are now so accessible and abundant.
So what now for watches? Watches have become cultured and sophisticated fashion accessories. Wearing a well designed and clean looking watch adds more than just flounce to your outfit. A watch can add character and ethos to the person.
I wanted to collaborate with a watch company that does more than just design trendy watches that jazz up an outfit. I wanted a watch company that designed watches that added DEPTH to my personality and expressed my personal style at the same time.
So I have decided to team up with JORD watches in their new campaign of wooden watches. Yes you read it right--WOODEN WATCHES. I know, you are intrigued and who wouldn't be.
I was actually really surprised by how BEAUTIFUL the watch was when I received it.
Being Canadian growing up in Vancouver on the West Coast and being surrounded by nature really made me gravitate towards the JORD's newest campaign.
I chose the 'Frankie' collection with the dark sandalwood and emerald clock face because it was one of the most romantic and masculine watch designs they had.
There is no pretentiousness or gaudy hardware slapped onto the watch.
The sandalwood gives the watch such a smokey and affluent look without the pretentiousness. The dark emerald face adds richness and maturity to the watch, while simple gold appliqued notches are used instead of numbers to keep the watch ageless--it's simply gorgeous. The whole design of this watch is perfect for someone who is sophisticated and invested in time-honored pieces that will last them a life time.
The watch really goes with everything and the wooden wrist adds a unique quality to the watch, which I haven't seen with any other watch design. JORD also boasts a 'Swiss Movement' machinery.
The watch itself is light which makes it ideal for a women's watch but with a masculine look.
I don't like excessive rhinestones of super flashy decoration slapped onto my watches. I like a clean, memorable watch design and this is what JORD does really well.
I find JORD watches really understand the art of watch design, in that a watch keeps track of time but then designs watches, that juxtapose the concept of time. The watch remains classic and time-honoured because of it's handsome and uncomplicated design.
JORD has been generous by allowing me to host a $180 e-card giveaway to be used towards their watches! Click the link below to enter:

I call this the 'Super' sweater, because this sweater does it all and has all the bells and whistles of the 2016/2017 trends (literally). Also my thoughts on socks and heels together--on the same foot.
The 'Super' Trendiest Sweater Ever.
First off let me list off the trends woven into this sweater: 1. chunky, 2. off-shoulder, 3. criss-cross knots and BONUS: it functions as a sweater that keeps you warm.
I clearly love this sweater. I can wear it everyday with anything, Skirt, shorts, dresses, jeans or leggings. Chunky sweaters offer a different look and texture to the entire outfit. Usually pairing a chunky sweater with a pair of skinny jeans or a mini skirt is an instant A+ outfit look.
Off the shoulder adds a effortless, non-chalant, just threw this on type ease to the sweater. Off the shoulder ALLOWS a visual of some skin which is also very sexy and changes the dimension of the outfit so that not everything is symmetrical.
The criss-cross on the sleeves is just another detail that makes the sweater feminine and different.
AND the bonus! This sweater actually functions as a sweater that keeps you warm!
Is This or Will it be a Trend: Shoes and Socks...together on one Foot!
I remember this first being talked about by a fashion blogger for Vogue magazine SO many years ago (like 7 years ago). I don't remember her name but I actually read that article, because I wanted to know her thoughts on the shoes and heels trend. In a nutshell she thought it looked fantastic on models and in magazines but real world application was difficult and I agree. I've seen super models wear this particular trend in magazines and they look phenomenal and fashion forward but I have never seen a real human being pull that trend off.
I tried this trend but it's a hard thing to pull off. You need the right shoe, the right socks and the right outfit to pull this off. I think tights and peep toes work for every one but I might have to do test out the socks with heels trend one more time to see how us mere mortals can pull this off.
Hope you enjoy this look as much as I do! XOXO!
Denim and jeans were making a ripple in the pond of fashion in late 2016 but NOW they are making a splash coming into the new year. And I think for awhile there blue jeans and denim were getting over shadowed by leggings last year.
Then Khloe Kardashian teamed up with Good American and a resurgence of jeans and denim everything came back in 2017. Albeit I don't think that Khloe is 100% of the reason that denim is making a strong comeback. I think that the stores are just carrying a wider variety of jeans styles.
Blue jeans have different hems now with fringe, asymmetrical hems and super distressed designs. Designers have really stepped up the jean game by designing more unique jeans and using denim as chokers, shoes and bags.
So yes the jean and denim world have been reinvented and will never be the same. But denim is something that is kind of classic and has never really changed over the years. The material is still the same. The blue jean colours are all very similar. If you buy anything that is made from denim it's never going to go out of style.
All you have yo do is reinvent your denim. You can cut holes in it, splatter paint on it or just wear it a different way. Jeans are jeans and are going to be worn the same way--on the lower half of your body.
So I decided to wear my jean jacket a different way and it changed the stiff denim jacket look into something less boxy looking. Button the last button and pull the jacket down past your shoulders and voila! You have a off the shoulder denim jacket or a off the shoulder denim top!
Don't be afraid to reinvent your clothes. You don't have to buy trendy clothes to feel like you are fashion forward, you just have to take some ideas, work them out and wear it.
The distressed look on t-shirts, denim, shoes and sweaters has been around for a little while now, and I have never really been into it because it's cold in Canada! We need sweaters and pants with no holes in them to prevent frostbite! But I decided to try it anyways, cause you know, "C'est la vie," or whatever.
From the pictures above we have established where this trend in distressed sweaters came from. I have to admit this look totally fits my style. It's not girly and it's different and raw and super urban. I love it. I can be a girly girl in a few years but right now I am loving the distressed sweater vibes.
I would suggest wearing a jumpsuit, leggings or a shirt underneath the sweater to keep you warm. I would usually wear a jumpsuit underneath and thigh highs if I am going out when it is below freezing out.
I like wearing sweater dresses paired with thigh high boots because it evens everything out. The sweater dress leaves a lot of leg hanging around and thigh highs cover up the legs and make the outfit even MORE sexy (what?! how?!). Believe me, it just does.
I would argue that the distressed look can be worn all year round. You just have to wear something underneath it. I have tried this trend and have absolutely LOVED it! Can't wait to try more trends in the up coming year!
